Regional Water Authority Water Efficiency Program

“How Low Can You Go?” was created to capture the public’s attention during the third year of California’s historic drought.

 

Program highlights include:

 

Unique creative theme (“How Low Can You Go”)—featuring eye-popping tips that ranged from “Use the OTHER men’s room” to “Let Rover clean the dishes” combined with real water-conserving actions.

 

Media outreach—that capitalized on the media’s interest in the drought and water supply.

 

Partnership with the Girl Scouts­—to distribute nearly 70,000 water conservation tip cards with cookie orders to customers in Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado and Yolo counties.

 

A new Be Water Smart Carwash program—to promote car washes that utilize water-conserving recycled water.

 

Videos—showcasing indoor and outdoor water conservation tips featuring Dinger and “Mike on the Mic” played at Sacramento River Cats games and used as television public service announcements.

 

Advertising—on television, radio, Facebook and the Google Display Network.
