Our team created new tools to help customers understand the Sacramento’s water meter program, including why meters are necessary and what to expect with metered rates. We created “Count Your Savings,” which focused on the positive side of water meters—that customers can count how much water they use and can save.
The program included bilingual videos and interactive Web site features. These outlined the City’s plans and progress made with meter installation, funding and infrastructure challenges, how to read meter data on utility bills and water conservation services. Other tools include a bill insert, media outreach and template text for community publications.
